Home/Lessons

Lessons with Ronald, at your own pace.

Private or in a small group, a single lesson or a whole course towards your course permit. At Golfclub De Haar, always with Ronald himself.

Types of lesson

Choose how you learn.

You don't need to know what you need. If you're not sure, start with one private lesson: after that Ronald knows where you stand, and you decide together how to carry on.

  1. 01

    Private lesson

Just you and Ronald. All the attention goes to your swing, your questions and your goal.

45 or 90 minutes, on the range or on the course.

  2. 02

    Group lesson

Together with a few others. Cheaper per person, and you learn from each other's swings too.

Come with your own little group, or ask whether there's a group you can join.

    € ·· per personBook a group lesson
  3. 03

    Lesson block

A series of lessons with one goal, such as a lower handicap or finally a straight drive.

You agree on the goal together in the first lesson. After that you work towards it, lesson by lesson.

Course permit

Your course permit in one day.

The course permit (baanpermissie, formerly the GVB) is the Dutch certificate that lets you play the course on your own. With Ronald you do the practical part in one day: you practise, you play, and at the end you take your test. Ronald is with you all day.

Who it's for
For anyone who has hit a few balls already and now wants to get out on the course.
Theory
You take the theory exam on the rules and etiquette online with the NGF beforehand.
Cost
€ ·· for the full day, including / excluding green fee and balls.
Plan your course permit day
  1. Morning

    On the range

You warm up and Ronald goes through the shots you'll need on the course: teeing off, irons, chipping and putting.

  2. Around midday

    The rules in practice

How to drop a ball, who plays first and how to repair a pitch mark. You learn it where it happens, not from a book.

  3. Afternoon

    Out on the course

You play ·· holes with Ronald beside you. He watches your game and how you conduct yourself on the course.

  4. At the end

    Your practical test

Ronald examines you. If it goes well, you go home with your course permit.

Draft. This is how the day went for one of his pupils. Ronald will fill in the exact format.

Your first lesson

What happens in your first lesson.

There's no need to be nervous. Your first lesson is mostly about getting to know each other. Whether you've never held a club or have been playing for years, it follows the same pattern.

  1. First

    Getting to know you

Ronald asks what you want: to learn to play golf, a lower handicap, or simply more fun on the course. And how much time you have to practise.

  2. Then

    Watching

You hit a few balls and Ronald watches how you move. A beginner? Then you start with how to hold the club and how to stand.

  3. Finally

    One thing to take home

You go home with one or two things to practise, not ten. That way you know exactly what you're working on until the next lesson.

What should you bring?

Not much. Whatever you don't have, Ronald will sort out.

  • Clothes you can turn in easily, suited to the weather
  • Golf shoes, or flat trainers
  • Your own clubs, if you have them
  • A glove, if you have one
  • No clubs? You can borrow some
  • Balls: included / on the range

Practical

The arrangements, short and clear.

So you know where you stand beforehand, and there's nothing to discuss afterwards.

·· Ronald still has to fill this in. dotted Ronald still has to confirm this.
