Home/Golf management
You play the course. Not just your swing.
A full season of coaching for one player: your head, your game plan, and Ronald there with you on competition day.
What it is
Lessons are for your swing. This is for you as a player.
On the range you hit your best balls. On the course, with a scorecard in your hand, it goes wrong somewhere else. That's what Ronald works on, for a whole season.
Concept. Ronald calls this golf management. How it's filled in below is a proposal; whatever is dotted, he still has to confirm.
-
01
Your head
A set routine for every shot. Staying calm after a bad hole. Keeping your focus for all eighteen holes.
Ronald believes the mental side of golf counts for at least as much as technique.
-
02
Your game plan
A plan for each hole: where you aim, which club, and when you're better off playing safe. Based on what you can really do, not on your best day.
That way you make fewer big mistakes, without having to change your swing.
-
03
Competition day
Ronald is there: the warm-up, one last run through the plan, and a look back together afterwards.
At three competitions per season, which you choose yourself.
Your season
From a plan in April to looking back in October.
Golf management isn't a one-off lesson but a programme that runs for a season. That way you also see what it brings you.
- 01
Getting to know each other
± 45 minutesA conversation about your game, your competitions and what you want to achieve this season. Afterwards you both know whether it's a good fit.
- 02
Out on the course together
9 holesRonald walks with you and watches how you play, think and decide. Where are you losing shots, and why?
- 03
Your season plan
before the first competitionYour goals on paper, the competitions that matter, and what you work on each month.
- 04
On the course every month
April to OctoberOnce a month you play nine holes together, with your game plan and your routine as the focus. In between, you can send Ronald a message.
- 05
Looking back
after the seasonWhat worked, what didn't, and what you'll do differently next year.
Competition day
On the day it counts, you're not on your own.
At three competitions of your choice Ronald is there. Club competitions, the NGF competition or an open tournament in the Netherlands.
During the round, only your caddie may give you advice. In team competitions a coach is sometimes allowed to as well. Ronald sticks to the rules of the competition.
- An hour before your tee time
Warm-up
On the range, with the same routine as in training. No trying out new things now.
- Before the first tee
Today's plan
Hole by hole: where you aim, where you take care, and what you do when things go against you.
- During the round
Ronald walks with you
As your caddie, or from the side where that's allowed.
- After the last putt
Looking back together
Not your score, but your decisions: what went well, and where did you let go of the plan?
Who it's for
For anyone who wants more out of every round.
You don't have to be a top player. But you do have to want to play, not just practise.
Is this right for you?
If you're not sure, you can work it out together in the first conversation.
- You play competitions, or you want to start
- You hit it better on the range than on the course
- You have a handicap of 24 or lower
- You're in a team for the NGF competition
- You're an ambitious junior, with your parents involved
- You want to improve your swing first: then start with lessons
Questions
Questions about golf management.
What's the difference from a lesson?
In a lesson you work on your technique. In golf management you work on how you play: your head, your decisions on the course and how you handle a competition.
Do I also need to have lessons with Ronald?
No. But technique and game plan go together, so many players combine it with a few lessons.
What does a season cost?
A season costs € ··, including the monthly rounds and three competition days. The introductory talk is free / € ··.
Which competitions does Ronald come to?
Club competitions, the NGF competition and open tournaments in the Netherlands. Further afield is possible by arrangement.
Can I do it without a full season, for just one competition?
Yes. A single competition day or one round on the course together is also possible. It just works best when Ronald already knows your game.
Can it be done in English?
Yes. Ronald speaks Dutch, English, German, French, Spanish and Italian.
